Professor Dabić is a full tenured Professor at the University of Dubrovnik, Croatia, and at the University of Ljubljana School of Economics and Business, Slovenia, and has been elected as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. Between 2007 and 2025, she served as Professor at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Economics and Business, Croatia. From 2013 to 2021, she was an Adjunct Professor at Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University, UK, and held a research contract with ICN, France, from 2021 to 2024.
She has been appointed Ambassador by the Academy of Management. Professor Dabić serves as Editor-in-Chief of Technology in Society (Elsevier), Associate Editor of Technological Forecasting and Social Change (Elsevier) and Strategic Change (Wiley), and Senior Department Editor for IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management.
She has authored over 270 Scopus- and Web of Science-indexed publications, 93% of which appear in Q1-ranked journals, and has edited twelve books published by leading academic publishers, including Springer, Edward Elgar, Routledge, Wiley, Palgrave, and De Gruyter. Recognised for her outstanding contributions, she has been ranked among the top 2% of scientists in Business and Management for three consecutive years, according to the Stanford list, and is consistently identified as one of the most cited researchers in Croatia and the Central and Eastern Europe region in Economics and Business.
Her work has been published in leading international journals such as Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of World Business, Journal of Business Research, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Small Business Economics, Management International Review, Technovation, International Business Review, Journal of Small Business Management, International Journal of Human Resource Management, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Journal of Business Ethics, Organizational Dynamics, Journal of Technology Transfer, and Technology in Society, among others.
Professor Dabić has been awarded several prestigious fellowships, including British ALIS, Erasmus+, Tempus, and funding from the Ministry of Culture of Taiwan, and holds the Mildred Miller Fort Foundation Visiting Scholar in European Studies at Columbus State University, USA. She has participated as a grant holder in multiple European projects, including the JP TEMPUS project Fostering Entrepreneurship in Higher Education (FoSentHE), and serves as a Work Package Leader in the Horizon 2020 RISE OpenInnoTrain project, as well as in Interreg Wool projects and the Erasmus+ KA220-VET project Virtual Open Innovation Environment for SMEs (VOIS). She is also co-editor of the Springer book series Applied Innovation and Technology Management.
